JHON JIMÉNEZ
Jhon Jiménez is a classical guitarist, educator, and audiovisual producer of Venezuelan origin. Since 2000, he has lived in Germany, where he weaves together music, education, and visual storytelling into a compelling and expressive artistic vision.
His musical path began in Venezuela and continued in Germany, where he deepened both his technique and expressive range. Along the way, he was shaped by important mentors: Eladio Mujica and Arturo González in Venezuela, and Wolfgang Weigel and Roberto Aussel in Germany.
As a concert artist, Jiménez has performed widely in Latin America and across Europe. His programs often blend narrative and emotion, drawing from personal experience and cultural heritage. He has long been committed to social and educational projects — particularly in the field of cultural integration for children with migrant backgrounds. He has served as a guest lecturer at international festivals and as a mentor in music education programs at leading German institutions. He currently teaches classical guitar at the Rheinische Musikschule in Cologne.
Beyond the stage, Jiménez is deeply involved in audiovisual work. Through his platform Guitar TV World and various documentary projects, he seeks to broaden the audience for classical guitar, highlight leading voices, and preserve the history of the instrument.
For Jiménez, art is more than expression — it’s a form of responsibility. He believes that music and image have the power not only to move us, but also to build bridges — connecting people, remembering histories, and sparking meaningful dialogue.
